Pelvic tilting is something we all do, every. single. day. But what even is pelvic tilting? Well, it’s a movement that occurs at the lumbo-pelvic girdle which influences many structural and functional aspects of the body including the curvature of the spine, position of the hips, and allows (or prohibits) activation of the glutes and core.

It’s a vitally important movement that is derived from body awareness. Assessing whether a person can tilt their pelvis gives a lot of info in regards to the level of their body awareness. This is something that certainly needs to be factored in when administering movement as a part of a rehab program for example, in addition to understanding the way a person potentially moves throughout their day.
